Fuck the Patriarchy!

This campaign is a collaborative initiative aimed at disrupting the patriarchal systems that contribute to the ongoing VAW epidemic.

Within this, our mission is to engage in concrete, coordinated action to challenge the patriarchal systems and institutions of oppression in Peel Region in order to address the public health epidemic of violence against women.

Using Mona Eltahawy’s The Seven Necessary Sins for Women and Girls as a guide for concrete action, #FuckthePatriarchy will use public health’s Ecological Model as a framework for understanding the complex interplay of individual, relationship, social, political, cultural and environmental factors that influence violence against women (VAW), with an emphasis on sexual violence.
