Feminist Collective Research

Barriers and Solutions to Reporting Gender Based Violence: The Experiences of Survivors

Understanding what our community needs

The Peel Feminist Collective’s research is a community-based initiative that examines how gender-based violence affects women of colour in the Region of Peel — and explores community-driven alternatives to systems that don’t always keep people safe.

Grounded in an intersectional feminist perspective, our research is participatory: it is shaped by, and accountable to, the community it serves. We gather lived experience alongside data to inform practical, culturally supportive practices.
