“REVIVE gave me the tools and support I needed to reclaim my life. The culturally-informed care made all the difference.”— Program Participant, 2025
At REVIVE, we believe healing from trauma requires more than crisis intervention. Every survivor deserves long-term, culturally-informed support that honours their strength and resilience.
With years of experience in trauma-informed care and community advocacy, Aretha leads REVIVE’s mission to help survivors not just survive, but thrive.
We offer trauma-informed supports for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), including long-term healing, prevention, and justice-connected reintegration for women, especially Black women and families navigating complex trauma and systemic barriers
Our clinical services provide long-term, trauma-informed counselling for women, especially Black women and families impacted by GBV, including intimate partner violence, domestic and sexual violence, complex trauma, and systemic harm. Care is survivor-centred and relational, supporting stabilization, safety, and healing beyond immediate crisis through individual and group-based therapy
Through individual counselling, group-based healing, and structured therapeutic support, REVIVE helps survivors rebuild a sense of safety, agency, and long-term stability.
We strengthen community awareness and prevention through trauma-informed education, outreach, and training. Our workshops address gender-based violence, trauma, and pathways to safety, helping reduce harm before crisis and build stronger community responses
We support survivors navigating court involvement, incarceration, and community re-entry through trauma-informed counselling and reintegration planning that reduces crisis and system cycling. Our approach is survivor-centred, culturally responsive, and focused on long-term healing beyond crisis
REVIVE provides resources that support survivors at every stage of healing and recovery. These include safety planning tools, information on legal and systems navigation, trauma education, and self-care resources.
Our resources are designed to complement counselling and community support, helping survivors make informed decisions, build stability, and access supports beyond immediate crisis response.
