We recognize that trauma shapes behaviour, relationships, and system involvement. REVIVE prioritizes emotional safety, choice, consent, and dignity in all services, working collaboratively with survivors while providing ethical, accountable support
Healing does not end when crisis services conclude. We are committed to long-term, relational support that reduces re-victimization, system cycling, and preventable harm. We provide continuity of care across custody, court involvement, and community reintegration.
We are committed to evidence-informed practice, continuous learning, and meaningful impact. REVIVE uses data, evaluation, and lived experience to strengthen programs, improve outcomes, and ensure our work remains responsive, effective, and accountable over time.
We uphold high standards of ethical and legal accountability, maintaining clear boundaries, confidentiality, and documentation that allow us to work safely across community and justice settings
We are committed to responsible stewardship of public, philanthropic, and community trust. We uphold strong governance, financial oversight, and outcome tracking to ensure resources are used effectively, ethically, and in alignment with our mission.
We prioritize culturally responsive care, with a specific focus on Black women and families who experience disproportionate harm and barriers to services. We recognize the impact of racism, colonization, poverty, and gender-based violence on access to safety and justice, and design services that are relevant, accessible, and grounded in lived experience
We work alongside community partners, justice systems, and service providers to reduce fragmentation, strengthen referral pathways, and improve outcomes for women and families navigating complex systems
We centre survivor voice and lived experience in how services are designed, delivered, and evaluated. Survivors are partners in shaping solutions, not passive recipients of care, and their insight guides how REVIVE responds to real-world needs and system gaps
REVIVE recognizes that we often are forced to operate within a patriarchal society that favours male-dominated thoughts and prioritizes male narratives and male perspectives regarding how the world works. We also understand that this social system has influenced our society’s systems of oppression. Most importantly, this systemic social structure in our society directly contributes to the ongoing violence against women and girls epidemic. Revive is committed to fixing these systems of oppression in all of the work that we do.
